  Great view.....no AC!

The view from the room was fantastic! The hotel did not have air conditioning. It was terribly hot (85-90 degrees F/ 26-32 C). The hotel brought up another fan but it did not do much good. It would never stay here again in the hot summer.

Stunning location with easy access to Luzern by train.

Location was amazing and whilst we didn’t have a room overlooking the lake, we still had an excellent view from our balcony. We swam in the lake a short walk from the hotel. The food was amazing. Breakfast was included and we also had lunch and dinner on different days. The kitchen is closed on a Monday but there are other restaurants a 10 min walk away. The hotel is a 15 min taxi to Mt Pilatus and a 10 min flat walk to the train station. We had a triple room with three single beds which were all very comfortable. The staff we so friendly and couldn’t do enough to make our stay enjoyable.

A hidden gem of a hotel, highly recommended.

Right on the shore of the lake, great views and very peaceful. Excellent restaurant, but a bit pricey, and good breakfasts. Friendly staff. Outstanding value for money. Getting to and from Lucerne Bahnhof is not that difficult but poorly explained by the hotel. The number 20 bus to and from Lucerne Bahnhof runs every 15 minutes during the day and stops at the nearby Rank bus stop which is a pleasant 10 minute walk from the hotel. Single fare SwFr 4.80. Horw (pronounced Horrv) station is a 20 minute walk from the hotel, trains to and from Lucerne Bahnhof every 15 minutes, single fare SwFr 4. Horw station does NOT have a taxi rank. A taxi to or from Lucerne Bahnhof to/from the hotel is circa SwFr 32-40. The Lucerne visitor card which the hotel gives you is NOT valid on local trains or buses.
